What is Play Therapy?
Play is the language of children, and toys are their words.
We use Play Therapy to help children from ages 3 to 10 express themselves and their emotions.
What does Play Therapy help with?
Play therapy can work wonders for kids dealing with social, emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. It's especially helpful for children going through tough times like divorce, blending families, loss, moving to a new place and other intense stressors such as bullying, hospitalization, chronic illness, or experiencing abuse or domestic violence.
Through play therapy, kids can learn to:
Boost their confidence and belief in their abilities.
Come up with creative solutions to their problems.
Understand and express their feelings.
Cultivate empathy and care for themselves and others.
Develop new social and relationship skills within their families.
Our Play Therapy Space
Sometimes the idea of attending play therapy can be scary for both the kiddo(s) and parents. We want to help families envision what the toys and area looks like so you both can feel confident and comfortable when entering play therapy.
